MTBZone.com - W.I.M. Series Finals 2002, Schweitzer Mountain, Idaho

--As is now tradition, the Dirt and Rock Race at Schweitzer Mountain was the final race in the W.I.M. series put on by Round and Round productions. This year there were competitions in the Cross Country and Downhill events. (Hopefully we will again see more dual events at NW races) Turnout was fairly low compared to some of the qualifying races, possibly due to the longer travel times for this race. Also, some riders who were not in contention for the overall trophy of WIM Series Champion may have stayed home.

--Saturday night /Sunday morning rain made the DH course conditions perfect! No dust and the corners were sticky.

--Team Battle: Ragnarok rode away with the cross country title by scoring perfects in all qualifying races. In a closer contest, Northwest downhill barely edged out Rapid Descent Racing by only 3 points (1561 vs. 1558) to take the overall downhill title for 2002........results
