MTBzone.com- Chelan Mountain Bike Festival 2002

-It was another wild weekend at the Echo Valley Ski Area near Lake Chelan, Washington. It's early May, yet snow and ice pellets fell at the top of the downhill course.....and Gino got to sit through it all!

-Over 200 racers showed up for the downhill alone.

-All participants were thankful to Rusty, Randy, Todd and the powers that be, from the Chelan County Fire Dist. No. 7 for all the water and sweat they provided for the race course. They dumped over 4000 gallons of water on the course which kept the dust down and improved traction for racers.

-Downhill Team Standing Update: Northwest Downhillers and Rapid Descent Racing are locked in a tie for the lead with 3 DH races left.
